5 Times Rihanna Slayed With Her Outfit

Singer, songwriter, fashion designer, businesswomen, street style icon, and so on.. Rihanna has done it all. In 2005 the girl next door from Barbados rose to fame with the release of her first album “A girl like me” and now 13 years later she has created her own fashion empire. Fenty x Puma has grown out into one of the worlds leading streetwear brands and now she’s changing the beauty industry with her Fenty Beauty brand, which offers matching colors for every skin tone, including black women. Rihanna is known as the ultimate fashion chameleon as her looks vary from R&B Queen to uptown chic.
1. Trailblazer
The checked blazer has obviously been a huge trend over the past few seasons and didn’t go unnoticed by Rihanna, who is here seen rocking an oversized checked blazer by the Y/Project paired with a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans and Olgana Paris shoes, finished off with a Louis Vuitton bag. The cut of the blazer perfectly complements her chest tattoo of the Egyptian goddess, Isis, which is often featured in her outfits.
2. Carribean Queen
RiRi was definitely channeling her Barbadian roots while putting together this casual day to day look. Utility trousers are a massive trend this Spring/Summer and can either be dressed up or dressed down. Rihanna paired the trousers with a basic cami and an oversized cardigan, but what really pulled the look together are her incredible faux locs wrapped in a headscarf, finished off with a pair of thick hoop earrings.
3. Hitting The Town
This look is the perfect example of casual chic and how accessories can elevate a simple outfit to the next level. Rihanna built this look around a pair of striped, wide legged trousers, topped with a loosely fitted grey cami. To Elevate the look she added a snakeskin leather tote bag and nude stilettos with color-block detailing finished off with a pair of statement sunnies. A perfect look to parade uptown New York.
4. Denim, Denim, Denim
This wouldn’t be a Rihanna lookbook without one of her iconic full denim looks. This outfit, in particular, is a full Tom Fort look from their latest Spring 2018 collection, which RiRi wore to the Vogue’s Forces of Fashion conference. Co-ords are another big Spring/Summer trend that can’t be missing from your wardrobe this season.
5. Queen of the Met
Rihanna once again defended her title of “Queen of the Met” during the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala, aka “The Met Gala”, with her incredible high fashion Pope look, created by Margiela. This year’s Theme was: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, and Rihanna fit the part perfectly. For her Catholicism-inspired look, Rihanna wore a pearl and jewel-encrusted robe, matching papal miter and necklace, Christian Louboutin heels, hoop earrings by Maria Tash, and jewelry by Cartier.
