Blue’s Freestyle and other tracks for the kids

For this birthday of Blue Ivy, her father Jay-Z dropped a video for his bonus track from 4:44: Blue’s Freestyle. In the animated video, now only featured on Tidal, you see an animated version of Blue Ivy, freestyling along with her dad.

But Jay-Z is not the only rapping father in the game who honours his children with songs. Let’s take a look at three other tributes to kids of some artists.

Daughters – Nas

This song Nas wrote about his daughter Destiny Jones, was nominated for two Grammy Awards: Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. The song was very emotional, since it had Nas opening up about the hard moments of raising a child.

Hailie’s Song – Eminem

A rather iconic song was the one of Eminem about his daughter Hailie. On this track Eminem showed the world his singing voice and his most pure side of being a father.

‘Like Father Like Son’ – The Game Feat. Busta Rhymes

Some may say The Game sometimes comes across as distant. In this track, dedicated to his son, he gets to an emotional and relatable vibe. The track describes his feelings during the birth of his child and he also speaks out the wish he has of his song following his footsteps.
