Game Release 2018

In this list we will be tackling the hottest and most wanted games that will be coming out this year. We will cover only the most anticipated games that will come out this year, remastered games and games that are being published again do not count. We hope to learn more about new games and releases dates at Games con and E3 in June.

Far Cry 5: March 27th

This Ubisoft jewel is an action- adventure first person shooter game, it will be released for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One. It’s the fifth main title in the Far Cry series. The game will be set in an open world environment, in Hope County, Montana, where the player will be playing the sheriff’s deputy. A preacher has risen to power and believes that he has been chosen to protect the civilians from an inevitable collapse. Under the rule of this preacher, Joseph Seed, the County is intimidated but a small group is ready to form a resistance to overthrow Seed.

God of War (4): April 20th

God of War is an action-adventure based game and it’s the fourth instalment in the God of War franchise, bad news for Xbox players: this game is exclusively for Playstation. The new God of War game will be based around the Norse mythology, this is a new and fresh step for the franchise as the first three instalments were about the protagonist Kratos; a God from the Greek mythology. Kratos now has a son named Atreus, Kratos is a mentor and protector to his son but has to master the rage that has driven him for many years in order to be a good father to his son.

State of Decay 2: May 22nd

This survival zombie game takes place in an open world called Trumbell County (you are free to move and do as you like, you don’t have to follow the storyline).Trumbull County is already pretty familiar to State of Decay players since the same location was used for the first game, only now it’s larger. You can play this game with up to three friends. There is some bad news for Playstation players, this game will not be available for Playstation and it will only be available for Xbox One and PC.

Call of Duty: Black ops 4: October 12th

Another year another Call of Duty game, like every year a new Call of Duty game will hit the shelves, and now we’ve been treated with Black Ops 4. This Call of Duty title is being released earlier than the years before probably because of Red Dead Redemption’s 2 release at the end of October and a probable Battlefield title at the end of October as well. The first person shooter was revealed on march 8th and will be developed by Treyarch Games, promising: a game changing experience. And through leaks people can expect it to be similar to Black Ops 2 (an absolute jewel of a Call of Duty game). A full game reveal will be May 17th and also at E3 and Gamescon, so keep an eye out for updates.

Red Dead Redemption: October 26th

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a western action-adventure based game and is the prequel of the 2010 Red Dead Redemption. The game is set in an open world environment so you’re free to go as you wish.  The story follows an outlaw called Artur Morgan, a member of the Dutch van der Linde gang. The western game was set to be released in the spring of 2018 but it has now been moved to October 26th, a huge bummer for the fans. Even with this late release many analysts believe it will be the highest selling game in 2018. This game is one for the books.

Spider Man : release date unknown

I hope you already you already feel your spider sense tingeling because Spiderman is back, although we don’t know when… The last two decades we have seen some awesome Spider Man games and we hope this one will live up to the hype so we can play one of our favourite Marvel characters. Not a lot has been released about the game, but we hope it will tackle the more personal aspect of Peter Parker and his younger years. And just because it takes place in New York City doesn’t mean there are random muggings every other block (yeah we’re talking about you Amazing Spider-man 2). Exclusive for Playstation 4.
