Movie Guide – August
It’s the start of a new month, which means there are tons of new movies coming out, from impossible missions to terrifying shark attacks and childhood memories returning to the big screen. Here we selected five movies that you should definitely check out this month.
Mission Impossible: Fallout
Fallout is the sixth release from the movie franchise and revolves around IMF agent, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team who go in a race against the clock when a mission goes south. If you’re up for a night of hard-core action, car chases and tons of explosions, Fallout is definitely the movie for you.

The Darkest Mind
The Darkest Minds takes place in an alternate future in which teenagers mysteriously develop supernatural powers. The government sees this development as a threat and places all teenagers in restricted camps. When sixteen-year-old Ruby, the most powerful of all teenagers, escapes from her camp, she joins a group of runaway teens who are looking for a safe place. Realising the can’t keep running forever they start a rebellion against their superiors.

Christopher Robin
Christopher Robin is a new story from one of the most beloved childhood tales in history, Winnie the Pooh. The story takes place decades later and the little Christopher Robin is grown up with a family of his own. Somewhere along the road, however, he lost his way and identity as a husband and father. Winnie and friends decide to go to London and help Christoper get back his inner child and fantasy. If you’re up for a night of reminiscing, Christopher Robin is definitely worth a visit.

The Meg
It wouldn’t be Summer without at least one Shark movie to make us scared of going to the beach. When a submarine from an international observatory is attacked by a giant mystical creature the team inside gets stuck on the bottom of the ocean. When time starts the runout, the government hires Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) a specialist deep-sea diver to save the crew. Not long after entering the ocean, Jonas realizes they’re not dealing with an ordinary shark but a Megalodon, a 22-meter long prehistoric shark. The most dangerous predator in history. Little do the rest of the crew know, that Jonas has encountered the beast before years earlier.

The Happy time Murders

In the underworld of Los Angeles, puppets live as second-class citizens among humans. When a serial killer has it out for the famous puppets from the kid’s show “The Happytime Gang”, detective Edwards (Melissa McCarthy) is forced to work with her ex-partner Phil Phillips, who is a puppet himself, in order to close the case. When Phil’s ex-girlfriend appears to be the next target, all evidence points to one suspect, Phil himself. If you’re in for a big laugh, sex, drugs and rock, and roll, The Happytime Murders is the flick for you.
