1. Rucker Park 

Highlight: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar & Julius Erving often played pick-up games on this court.

2. The Cage

Highlight: It is special for it non-regulation size which means there is more emphasis on tough and physical play. It’s one of the most popular courts to play for amateurs from around the world.

3. Pier 2 Brooklyn

Highlight: This is one of the newest additions to the New York basketball courts. The courts are a mix of indoor and outdoor. The courts are provided with a sealing for rainy days. The pier is next to the Hudson, giving you a nice view of the New York skyline.

4. Sara D. Roosevelt Park

Highlight: This court is found in the middle of Sara D. Roosevelt Park. A park named after the mother of the 32nd president of the United States, Franklin D Roosevelt. He was in office during World War two and instated the New Deal after the Economic Depression.

5. Columbus Park

Highlight: This is one of the city’s first significant urban parks. It often visited by a lot of teens and hosts a lot of tournaments.
