Bij Hartje Zwolle serves an all-day brunch every day of the week, till 5.30 pm. From Wednesday to Saturday, they also serve dinner, from 5.30 pm. And if you’re in Zwolle to visit Theater Spiegel, they also serve a special theater menu or a quick bite, so you won’t miss the show. Vegetarians are also in the right place at this restaurant, thanks to their vegetarian dishes like a Vegetable Chili Bowl and a sandwich with falafel. I do have to say that there are more vegetarian dishes on the brunch menu, than on the dinner menu, if you want a big vegetarian choice.

Het Weeshuys is a pretty new restaurant (opened in March 2015) and has a modern, industrial interior. They describe their kitchen as Burgundian and by changing their menu monthly, they cook by the season. If you’re in for just a wine or a (special) beer, this is also the place to be. Or even just for coffee and cake. This restaurant also has a food truck called Vleeschhuys, so there is a big chance you find this at food festival where they serve classic meat dishes like spare ribs and a Philly cheesesteak.
City cafe Blij is true to their name, because Blij means ‘happy’. Making you happy is their goal. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at Blij, with an extraordinary view on the heart of the city Zwolle. If you’re done with dining and want to put on your dancing shoes, you can go from their restaurant to their club, in the same building.
